Weathered Acacia Timber with Classic Turned-Leg Detailing
The Biarritz 1.4m Bench combines a beautifully weathered acacia timber seat with a contrasting painted New Zealand pine base, creating a distinctive two-tone design inspired by traditional French country furniture. Measuring 1.4 metres in length, the bench offers practical seating for dining areas, hallways, bedrooms and entryways. The thick acacia top features rich natural grain patterns, subtle colour variations and a textured, weathered finish that brings out the timber's individual character. Its smooth, carefully finished surface provides comfortable seating, while the decorative moulded edges add definition to the substantial timber top.
Four turned pine legs give the bench its characteristic French provincial appearance, with rounded contours and traditional carved profiles that complement the natural timber seat. The soft off-white painted finish contrasts with the deeper tones of the weathered acacia, while the solid apron beneath the seat connects the legs and provides additional structural support. Sturdy through-bolt fixings help secure the leg construction, making the bench suitable for regular use around the home. The combination of a solid timber seat, reinforced framework and carefully shaped legs provides a balance of strength and decorative detail.
At 1.4 metres long, the bench provides a practical seating option without occupying the space of individual dining chairs. Its backless design allows it to be tucked beneath a dining table when not in use or positioned against a wall for convenient seating in an entranceway or bedroom. The neutral painted base and natural wood top also make it easy to coordinate with existing timber furniture and country-style interiors.
Bench seat requires simple assembly, just attach the legs and you're good to go.
